The funeral service of the late Mrs Jack was held in the M.E. church on Sabbath at half past one o'clock.

Margaret Jack was born March 16th, 1816, in Warren county, Ohio, and was married to Elijah Jack Jan. 13th, 1842. They moved to LaPorte county, Indiana, the same year. In 1854 they came to Johnson county, Iowa, in which she lived until she was called to leave her home on earth for one in Heaven. She was loved by all who knew her, and those who knew her best loved her most, her life was one of meekness and patience. As a wife and mother she was affectionate; as a neighbor we seldom find any better. She was permitted to rear a family of respectability to maturity, and leaves a husband and five children with a large circle of friends to mourn her loss.
