MISS NIFFENEGGER PASSED AWAY

Miss Mary Niffenegger died last night about 11 o'clock, at her home in Sharon Center.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ulrich Niffenegger, who had been pioneers of Johnson county, and for whom she tenderly cared in their declining years.

Miss Niffenegger was a well known resident of Sharon township, was of a cheerful disposition, a good neighbor and loved and respected by all who knew her.

Surviving her are three brothers and three sisters, Fred and Ulrich of Sharon township, John, of Des Moines, and three sisters, Mrs. Noah Yoder, of Iowa City, Mrs. Lizzie Green, of Keota, and Mrs. Daniel Sleichter, of Riverside.

The funeral will be held at 2 [?] o'clock, Thursday afternoon at the home, followed by services at the Evangelical church. Interment will be in Sharon Center cemetery.

Death came into our midst Tuesday night, December 10, and called away Miss Mary Niffenegger, a long time resident of Sharon Center. She had been bedfast only a few days having been taken with hemorrhages on the Friday previous. She leaves to mourn her departure, three brothers, three sisters, nieces, nephews, and scores of warm hearted friends. She was laid to rest, according to her request, by the side of her brother, Gottlieb, in the U. E. cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. G. Zeigler.
