Charles HARPER Taken In Death

Charles W. HARPER, 68, died about 10 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been seriously ill the past week. He had been in failing health about six months.

Last rites will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. D. O. VanDyne officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Charles W. HARPER was born June 16, 1901, at Unionville, Mo., the son of James and Alice HINES HARPER. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. His home is on rural route 4.

Survivors include two brothers and a sister, John, Davenport; Henry, Fairfield; and Mrs. Jennie LATHROP, Fairfield; also 25 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
