Mt. Pleasant

Ramona K. HAYNES 70 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant (note: in Henry Co., IA).

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with Pastor Gordon Hawkins HCI Hospice Care Chaplain officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery (note: in Mt. Pleasant, IA). The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to HCI Care Services of Mt. Pleasant in her memory.

Ramona was born on April 10, 1947, in Ottumwa the daughter of Virgil and Fairy CLARK BROWN. She was raised by her step-father Raymond WICH and her mother Fairy. She was united in marriage to Lawrence HAYNES on June 23, 1966, in Bloomfield.

She worked for Cargill for a few years and later at the Iris Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant. She enjoyed puzzle books, yard sales, country music and tractor shows. Ramona enjoyed spending time at the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion.

She is survived by her husband Lawrence of Mt. Pleasant, and her children: Randy HAYNES of Mt. Union, Robert HAYNES of Weaver, Jason HAYNES of Ft. Madison, Brenda HAYNES of Mt. Pleasant, Larry HAYNES of Donnellson and Barbara LOWE of Mt. Pleasant, 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers: Ricky WICH of Ottumwa and Russell WICH of Mt. Pleasant.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, one grand-daughter, one brother Ronnie and a half-brother Rocky.
