James correct birthday is March 27, 1838, born to William & Matilda (Connelly) Ralston in Berthier Quebec. I would love to have a photo of him & his siblings. I have photos unlabeled & can't decipher. His siblings are: Peter b. Aug. 7, 1836-Jane b. 1840-Matilda b. 1842-William b. 1846-Margaret b. 1844-John b. Feb 29, 1848-Rachel b. Apr 28, 1852-Agnes b.Sept.23,1853-Robert b. Sep 7, 1855- Charles b. Jun 1859- Frederick b. May 1, 1863 (my relative). James grandparents were Peter & Jane (Esdon)b. 1771, Paisley, m. 1799 Paisley, & Alexander & Jane (Sinclair) Connelly, both born 1796. William's siblings were: John b. 1800, Robert b. 1805, Peter b. 1807, & Archibald b. 1817, all Paisley.
