LaVerne Kach, 85, of Harmony, MN passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, Iowa.

LaVerne was born on February 23, 1925 in Ord, Nebraska to Phillip and Esther Kach. He grew up in the Cresco area, and later moved to Saratoga, IA. He worked for many local farmers. On October 9, 1971 he married Carol Jean Huhe at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco, IA. Together, they lived in Harmony, MN for many years. LaVerne also worked for the Nursery in Canton, MN for numerous years.

He is survived by his sister Jeannie Heide of Cresco, IA, a brother Leonard (Lorraine) Kach of Rochester, MN, a sister Betty (Don) Friedrich of Rochester, MN, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carol on March 1, 2005, his parents, and two infant brothers.

Cemetery:
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco, IA.

Visitation:
Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony, MN from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, as well as one hour prior to services at the church.

Service:
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco, IA.
