WINTHER, POSSIBLY WINTER

Posted By: Karen Pingree (email)

My great, great grandparents emigrated to Henry County Iowa in about 1870. I found naturalization papers dated in 1871. It appears the family lived there through 1880, when they moved to Nebraska. Then, in 1885, my Great, great grandmother was back in Mount Pleasant with the children, and if I am reading the Census records correctly, I believe she was still there at least through the 1910 census. I can't find anything on her death, or on the marriage of her youngest daughter, Jane, who was on the 1885 census with her, but on nothing after that. Any advice on where I might get more information on the dispositions of these two women?
