Mrs. L. J. Miller passed away at her home in Tacoma, Washington on Wednesday June 2nd after an illness of four weeks. The exact cause of her death is not definitely known, but it is understood by relatives here that her trouble was cancer of the stomach. It will be remembered that Mr. Miller’s death about two years ago was caused by a similar trouble. The news of Mrs. Miller’s death will be received with much sadness by the many friends who knew and loved this excellent woman. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Miller were residents of Wayland, leaving here some years ago to make their home in Texas. They later moved to Tacoma, Washington where they have since made their home. About four years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Miller made an extended visit with relatives and friends here and at that time both appeared to be in excellent health with a good prospect of living to a ripe old age. Soon after their return home the painful news of Mr. Miller’s serious illness and death was received, and now the information of Mrs. Miller’s death brings a deep sense of sadness to all who have known these excellent neighbors and friends. We hope to have the particulars of Mrs. Miller’s death in the near future as well as the obituary notice. The family has the sincere sympathy of all Wayland friends.
