"Burial of Emerson E. Nichols at Ainsworth. Coppock Man Dies at Mt. Pleasant - Was Father of Mrs. Don Paul of Washington.

Funeral services for Emerson E. Nichols, 84 years old, of Coppock, who died Monday at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, following a stroke, will be held at one o'clock Thursday afternoon at Crane's funeral home, Mt. Pleasant, with burial in the Ainsworth cemetery.

Emerson E. Nichols was born at Ainsworth, Iowa, January 10, 1859. He was a son of J. W. and Margaret (Stone) Nichols.

On Nov. 21, 1883 he was united in marriage to Ella Jane McBride who died Jan. 19, 1932. For nearly 17 years they lived at Ainsworth, moving to Henry county in 1900, where he had resided since that time.

Surviving him are four sons and seven daughters: Ralph, Ira, Paul, Mrs. George Hill, Mrs. Harry Roth, and Mrs. Roy Hallgren all of Burlington, Iowa, Mrs. G. W. Heyde of Brighton, Mrs. Rex Brier and Mrs. Ralph Hess of Winfield and Mrs. Don Paul of Washington, also one sister, Mrs. Myra Kurtz of Minneapolis, Minn."
