OBITUARY:

Mrs. Stella Elizabeth Kauffman, 92, Parkview Home, Wayland, died Thursday, February 7, 1985 at 5:10 P.M. at the Burlington Medical Center. She was born June 11, 1892, at Wayland, the daughter of Christian and Fanny Augsberger Roth. On Jan. 16, 1910, at Wayland, she married Edward Kauffman, who died Dec. 8, 1955.

Mrs. Kauffman was a member of the Wayland Mennonite Church and for many years was a cook at the Wayland School.

Surviving are one son, James C., Mt. Pleasant; three granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren. A son, Rex, four brothers, Albert, Oscar, Edward, and Harry, and one sister, Katie, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 P.M. at Wayland Mennonite Church. The Rev. Doug Rechenbach and the Rev. Glen Richard will officiate with interment at North Hill Cemetery. Friends may call as they desire at the Beatty Funeral Home, Wayland. A memorial has been established for the Parkview Home.
