Mrs. Bertha HESTON, 81, long time resident of the Fairfield community, died Sat. P.M. Henry County Memorial Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Former home was 603 E. Burlington. Raymond Funeral Home. Evergreen Cemetery.

Born Oct. 1, 1885, in Kansas, daughter of Fletcher and Rosella HIBBARD STANSBERRY; reared and educated in Jefferson County; married William E. HESTON Oct. 28, 1903, in Fairfield; he died July 18, 1945. Member Methodist Church.

Survived by three sons: Earl, Prophetstown, Ill.; Ray, Fairfield; and Ernest, Muncie, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence KESSEL, Fairfield, and Mrs. Kenneth BARBER, Moline, Ill.; 20 grandchildren, 27 greatgrandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Elsie HOLCOMB, Ankeny, Iowa. Preceded in death by husband, one daughter, one grandson, two brothers and two sisters.
