Obituary

Johanna Larson was born in Norway Jan. 1st, 1849. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed Oct. 30, 1865, and has been a loyal member of the Lutheran church all her life. She was married to C. J. Monson Dec. 15, 1873, at Webster City. They moved from Webster city to a farm south of that place where they lived until they moved to Stanhope 18 years ago, where she passed away March 8, 1928. Her husband preceded her in death six years ago. 11 children were born to this union, seven having preceded her in death. Those left to mourn her departure from this life are: Mrs. Thea Wing, Stanhope; Mrs. C. K. Brandrup, Webster City; Mrs. S. L. Berben, Stanhope; Mrs. Roy Brandrup, Iroquois, S. D., besides 22 grand children.
