Samuel J. Clausen

Samuel J. Clausen, youngest son of Jens and Anna (Hanson) Clausen, was born at Randall on Aug. 7, 1878, and died at his hoe in Allerton Feb. 6, 1928, after and illness of nine hours from cerebral hemorrhage. He was married in 1904 of Mrs. Lena Falkenberg*. He leaves to mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father, his widow and one step-daughter Mrs. Muriel Kilbourne; one brother, Hans Clausen of Wiggins, Colo., one sister, Mr. Mary Miller of Oakland, Calif., his step-mother Mrs. Matilda Clausen of Randall, and five half-brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held at his home in Allerton Feb. 9, and the remains were brought to Randall, where, after a short funeral service at the G. P. Christenson home they were laid to rest in the Danish cemetery.

Out-of-town people at the funeral besides his wife were Hans Clausen of Wiggins, Colo., Miss Lillian Clausen of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hanson, Mrs. Hans Hanson and Julius Hanson all of Wesley.

*SUBMITER'S NOTE: The wife of Samuel J. Clausen was Lena (Conroe/Conroe) VanValkenburg. She was previously married to Fred E. Van Valkenburg/Van Valkenburgh.
