Ardys Erickson, 80, Rochester, Minn., died June 4, 2002 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, Minn. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ardys Olofson, daughter of Allie C. and Leona May Olofson, was born in Webster City on Nov. 18, 1921. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City and attended Iowa State University. She married Donald R. Erickson on Dec. 23, 1942 at Webster City. She was employed in the statistical lab at Iowa State University from 1943 to 1949. She was a member of the First United Church of Ames where she worked as a financial secretary from 1967 to 1988. She moved from Ames to Rochester in 2000.

Survivors are her daughter, Diane E. Davison, Rochester, Minn, grandsons, Matthew Davison and wife Dawn, Gilbert, Ariz., and David J. Erickson, Ames, a granddaughter, Dana Erickson, Ames.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents, a son, David R. Erickson, and a granddaughter, Cherie Davison.

Memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation-Season's Hospice in Rochester, Minn., or the ISU Trumpeter Swan Restoration Committee.
