Services Held For Tony Christianson

Funeral services for Tony Christianson, 72, of Jewell were held at Bethesda Lutheran Church at Jewell on Jan. 15. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Jewell. The Rev. Norbert Jollivette officiated.

Christianson, a farmer and a produce dealer, lived in Story City and Jewell his entire life. He retired in 1953 after more than 30 years in the produce business in Jewell.

He died Thursday evening, Jan. 13 while enroute to Story City Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth C. Christianson and a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Stout, both of Jewell; six grandchildren, four brothers, Oscar of Stanhope, Elmer of Milaca, Minn., Harold of Gilbert and Lewis of Fort Dodge, a sister, Mrs. Margaret Torrestad of Forreston, Minn.

His wife, the former Louise Howland of Story City, preceded him in death.
