Neil G. Carlson, 62, Bentonville, AR., died Nov. 12, 1999 at his home in Bentonville. A memorial service will be held Saturday at the Elim Lutheran Church in Randall. Inurnment of the cremains will be in the South Marion Cemetery in rural Stratford. Arrangements are made by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, Bella Vista, AR.

Neil G. Carlson, son of Glenn Harlan and Alice Violet Fisher Carlson, was born June 29, 1937 in Hamilton County, Iowa. He resided and farmed southwest of Jewell until 1979. The family moved to Bentonville and started Waterbed Village, Inc. He was a school bus driver for South Hamilton Schools and a truck driver for Hove Truck Line. He owned and operated Carlson Construction and Carlson Enterprises. While in Iowa, he was a charter member of the Randall Lions Club. Living in Arkansas, he was an assistant scout master, vice president of the Bentonville BandBoosters and served on the Sugar Creek Habitat for Humanity Board and was crew leader for the Blitz Build in Centerton in 1995. He was an accomplished pilot and held a private, commercial and instrumental license since 1967.

Survivors are his wife, Lois Carlson; son Jason of Bentonville, brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Louise Carlson of Jewell, Alan and Linda Carlson of Dyersville, brother-in-law, Clyde Crawford and Susan Keasey of Bentonville; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Lutheran Church Choir, 100 Cooper Road, Bella Vista, AR., 72714; Sugar Creek Habitat for Humanity, 102 SW Second St., Bentonville, AR., 72712; or Elim Lutheran Church Choir, Randall, IA
