Funeral services for Loran Carlson, 72, Stratford, were held Monday, Nov 20, 2000 at Stratford Baptist Church, Stratford. Rev. David Fernlund conducted the 1:30 PM service. Interment was held in South Marion Cemetery, Stratford. Stark-Welin Funeral Home, Stratford, was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Carson passed away at his home on Thursday, Nov 16 due to congestive heart failure.
Loran Carlson was born Monday, Jan 9, 1928 in Stratford. He was the son of Archie and Violet (Neese) Carlson. Loran graduated from Stanhope High School.
Loran worked at Webster City Products (Frigidaire) for 29 years on the assembly line and also farmed during that time. He retired in 1990. Loran enjoyed traveling and walking.
Survivors include brothers, Robert Calson, Stratford; Orville Carlson, Ogden; nieces and nephews.
