Dr. Lester D. Barry, 82, Williams, died Dec. 30, 1994 at Southfield Care Center in Webster City. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Pacifico Camarin Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home until time of service.

Lester Delbert Barry, son of Alfred and Agnetta (Sorenson) Barry was born March 21, 1912 at Malmo, Neb. He attended schools at Wahoo, Neb., graduating from Still Osteopathic College in Des Moines.

On Oct. 28, 1944, he married Kathryn Millsap at Des Moines. He practiced medicine in Council Bluffs for one year and at Belle Plaine for three years. In May of 1943, he moved to Williams where he practiced medicine until his retirement in June of 1987.

He is survived by his wife; daughters and son-in-law, LeAnn Schmidt of Tyler, Texas, Marjorie and Harry Forsythe of Jacksonville, Fla. and Lana Hinderks of Groton, Conn.; and granddaughters, Jhethaar Domacasse and Stacy Hinderks. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Clifford.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Williams, the American Osteopathic Association, Williams Lion's Club, Elks Lodge of Iowa Falls and Webster City Moose Club. He was a former member of the Williams Masons, was a former church trustee and past president of Northeast Hamilton and Williams school boards. He was also a former recipient of the Doctor of the Year from the Iowa State Athletic Association.
