Kathryn Barry, 76, Williams, died Friday, June 6, 1997, at the Hamilton Hospital in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Williams, with Rev. Pacifico Camarin Jr., officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, and prior to the service.

Kathryn Maude Millsap, daughter of Lee and Anna (Lister) Millsap, was born Jan. 21, 1921 on a farm south of Williams. She attended Rose Grove #3 rural school, then Williams School, graduating in 1938. On Oct. 28, 1944, she married Dr. Lester Barry at Des Moines. The couple resided in Williams. Mr. Barry practiced medicine and she assisted him until their retirement in 1987. Dr. Barry preceded her in death in December of 1994 and she continued to reside in Williams.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, LeAnn Schmidt, Tyler, Texas, Marjorie and Harry Forsythe, Jacksonville, Fla., and Lana Hinderks, West Des Moines; granddaughters, Jhethaar Domacasse, Webster City, and Stacy Hinderks, Eagle Grove; great-grandson, Alexander Paul Thompson, Eagle Grove; sisters Buenetta Schroder, Blairsburg and Margaret Groves, Williams; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Delores Millsap; and a brother, David Millsap.

Mrs. Barry was a member of the United Methodist Church of Williams, a Sunday school teacher for several years, a charter member and past president of the Williams Women's Club, past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a volunteer worker at Southfield Care Center.
