Donovan D. Reynolds, 54, died Saturday morning at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines where he had been a patient for four days.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. Henry Westenberg officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 10 a.m. Tuesday when it will be taken to the church.

Donovan Dennis Reynolds, son of Cleo and Marie Lettow Reynolds, was born Jan. 29, 1921 at Buckeye, Iowa. He was reared in the Buckeye community and educated in the Buckeye public school system. He later attended Ellsworth Junior College at Iowa Falls and also the Capital City Community college in Des Moines.

During World War II he served with the U.S. Navy, seeing duty in the Pacific war theater.

He was married Oct. 16, 1944 to Wynne E. Meeson, and the couple had since resided in Webster City where Mr. Reynolds was employed at the Franklin Mfg. Co., but more recently had been employed by the Warren County Alcoholic Commission.

Surviving are his wife; two sons and one daughter; Gregory Lynn Reynolds of Grand Blanc, Mich., Mrs. Don (Gretchen) Bruner of Eagle Grove, and Craig W. Reynolds of Iowa City; two grandchildren, Christa Bruner and Christopher Reynolds; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cleo W. Reynolds of Buckeye; and one sister, Mrs. Don Hawkins of Long Beach, Calif.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Christine Lynnette, who died in infancy.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and a member of the A.A.
