Dolly Hutton, 70, Webster City, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001 at her home. Memorial services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Morgan and Cindi O'Brien, ministry assistant, officiating. Burial will be prior to the service in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday only.

Dolly F. Carter, daughter of Norval and Kate Brooks Carter, was born April 29, 1931 at Clarion. She attended Clarion schools. In August of 1952, she married Russell Carpenter at Eagle Grove. The couple resided at Webster City. She worked for a short time at Morton's Frozen Foods. Mr. Carpenter died in February of 1972. On August 2, 1973, she married Herbert Hutton of Webster City.

Mrs. Hutton is survived by her husband Herbert, a son, Nick Carpenter of Lompoc, Calif., daughter Dawn Heidick, Webster City; son, Kim Carpenter of San Diego, Calif., Herbert's children, David Hutton of Sioux City, Richard Hutton of Dubuque, Daniel Hutton of Omaha, eight grandchildren, a great-granddaughter; brothers Richard Carter of Webster City, Ronald Carter of Waterloo, sister, Betty Carter Umthum of Eagle Grove; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 10 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Hutton enjoyed quilting and baking. She attended Asbury United Methodist Church. Memorials may be given to the Asbury United Methodist Church or the Cancer Fund.
