Biography--

Timothy Brian Murray, 62, of Elk Run Heights, died Tuesday, May 01, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

He was born August 12, 1955, in Charles City, Iowa, the son of John Murray Sr. and Darlene Nordman (Jack) Trenary. He married Sandy Voshell on August 18th, 2012, in Waterloo.

Timothy served in the US Navy from 1972 until retiring in 1992 with a rank as an Aviation Storekeeper Petty Officer 2nd Class. He owned his own business Big T Painting. Timothy enjoyed woodworking, bowling, golf, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife; seven children, Jeff (Michelle) Murray, of Des Moines, Christopher Murray, of Waterloo, Elizabeth (Michael) Theilen, of Cedar Falls, Misty (Andrea) Murray, of Keystone, Brian Murray, of Waterloo, Danielle (Matt) Haag, of Sheffield, and Justin Fain, of Arcata, CA; twelve grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Theilen, Shawn, Autumn, and Austin Murray, Tanner, Mya, and Blaiden Braun, Braelin Haag, Addison Murray, Jessica Paterno, and Jade Gladson; one great-grandchild on the way, A’marah; his mother, Darlene Trenary, of Waterloo; three siblings: Sandy (Larry) Alger, John (MarySue) Murray, and Kathy (Denny) Smith; three nieces and three nephews; and ten great-nieces, and three great-nephews.

He was preceded by his father; stepfather; mother and father-in-law, Louise and Boyd Voshell; as well as Debra Jenkins Murray.
