OBITUARY.
Intelligence came to relatives in the northern part of the county last week of the death of Henry Willsie on Nov. 17th at the home of his son in Cranford, N. J. Mr. Willsie was born in 1840 near London, Ontario, and came with his parents, Thomas and Jane Willsie, to Burr Oak in 1854. He enlisted in Company , 9th Iowa Infantry, and was wounded at the battle of Pea Ridge. He was a student at Upper Iowa University for some time and in 1867 was married to Charlotte Lamm at Fayette. In 1876 they removed to La Crosse, where he was engaged in the contracting business until 1911. During his residence in that city he was honored by being made commander of Wm. McKinley Post, G. A. R. Beside his wife he is survived by his children, Henry, Elmer and Etta Jane. Interment was made at Fayette.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Dec. 8, 1840 and is buried in the Grandview Cemetery in Fayette, IA.
