I was wondering if anyone would have any information on Tim Fanning, James Fanning, the Jefferson house (which was the an early bar/hotel in the 1830's- into the 1850's 60's? I am working on a project related to The Old Military Road and trying to find out as much as I can about Tim Fanning and his extended family. There is a James Fanning also mentioned in the 1880 History of Dubuque county who was actually a mayor of Dbq. early. on. I'd like to figure out his relationship to Tim Fanning as well as any other stories about that early tavern, etc. thanks for your help! Sincerely, Douglas Monk Monticello
