An old time resident passed away in Farley, Iowa last Monday in the person of Dennis Lawler who had reached the age of 75 years. Mr. Lawler was born in Whitewater Township about 75 years ago but moved to Prairie Creek where he was a prominent farmer for many years. About three years ago he became ill and has not been well since. He is survived by his widow and three children, Mrs. Joseph Urbain of Placid, W. J. Lawler of Farley, and John of Bernard, one sister, Catherine Johnston of Storm Lake, brother Samuel of Lewiston, Montana. The funeral was held at the Catholic Church at Placid Wednesday morning at 9:30.
