Milton Harold Distelhorst, 71, 812 Randall Lane, died at 5:40 p.m. Friday, April 23, 1993, at Burlington Medical Center.

He was born on June 24, 1921, in Des Moines County, the son of Edward and Anna Wirt Distelhorst. He was a farmer. He also served two terms on the Des Moines County Board of Supervisors and two terms in the Iowa House. He was a Jackson Township trustee and a trustee for Drainage District No. 7.

He served in the Army Air Force for three years during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; two sons, Thomas Distelhorst of Chantilly, Virginia, and David Distelhorst of Montclair, New Jersey; a daughter, Christina Distelhorst of New York City; and five grandchildren.

The funeral for Mr. Distelhorst will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Reverend David Bergstrom officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel. Friends may call at Prugh's.
A memorial has been established for Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
