Jeffrey Alan Distelhorst, 47, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Burlington, died on Sunday, July 29, 2007, at his home.

Born August 21, 1959, in Burlington, he was the son of Donald R. and Betty Coetta Wolfe Distelhorst. On August 5, 1988, he married Mary Ellen Beckmann in Tulsa.

Mr. Distelhorst was a mechanical engineer for F. W. Murphy Manufacturing, where he designed Lear Jets. He was a member of Rhema Bible Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He enjoyed listening to Christian music, Bible study and bike riding.

Survivors include his wife; two daughter, Kathryn Distelhorst and Jessica Distelhorst, both of Tulsa; one son, Daniel Distelhorst of Tulsa; his father of Burlington; one sister, Sherry Distelhorst of Richardson, Texas; two brothers, Michael Distelhorst of Phoenix and Timothy Distelhorst of Burlington; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.

Mr.Dan Peterson will preside, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun, Iowa.

A memorial has been established.
