WENDELL FRANK HAND

Wendell Frank Hand, 80, of 2913 Madison Ave., died at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 1991, at the Elm View Care Center.

Born March 23, 1911, in Shokokon, Ill., he was the son of Frank and Elsie McCannon Hand. He married Hazel Pogemiller May 10, 1958, in Galesburg, Ill.

He worked at J. I. Case Co., retiring in 1977. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife: four sons, Frank Hand and James Hand, both of Burlington, Jack Hand, Milwaukee, Wis., and Wallace Hand, Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia (William) Headley, Calif; one stepson, Ron Brandenburg, Burlington; two stepdaughters, Sharon Brandenburg, West Burlington, and Mrs. Marjorie (Don) Setterberg, Ames; eight grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

The service for Mr. Hand will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel with Dr. Andrew Pate officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
