Cycle Crash Fatal to Lee

Cecil Edward Lee, 35, of 1415 Agency, died at 6:40 a.m. Saturday in Burlington hospital of head injuries suffered in a Wednesday night traffic accident.

Lee was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a motorcycle he was riding struck a curb and overturned in 2500 block on Sunnyside.

Police said the mishap occurred on a curve and that Lee was thrown onto the pavement. He suffered a skull fracture.

Mr. Lee was born Sept. 6, 1930, in Louisa county the son of Joseph and Gertrude Jones Lee.

Oct. 21, 1961, at Monmouth, Ill., he married Janet Havenhill. He was an employee of Iowa Army Ammunition Plant.

Surviving: the wife, three daughters, Linda, Jody, and Dianna, all of Burlington; two sisters; Mrs. John Baldus, Champaign, Ill., Mrs. Arnold McKibben, Burlington; three brothers, Robert, Virginia Beacn, Va., Delbert and Paul of Burlington, and his mother, Mrs. Sylvester Callaway, Burlington. One brother, Eugene was killed in World War II action.

Services: 3:30, p.m. Tuesday, Prugh's Chapel, Memorial Park Cemetery.
