Emil Stacken, 88, a resident of Burlington 25 years, died Saturday evening in his home at 404 Acres street after an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 2, 1863, in Germany. Stacken was a member of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Martha Hobbs, Burlington and Mrs. Emma McComas, Cedar Rapids; a son, John F. Stacken, Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Amanda West, Baytown, Tex., and Mrs. Rose Conant, Virginia Minn. His wife is dead.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Giles funeral homes with Rev. James Bulkema officiating. Burial will be in Linwood cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Tuesday afternoon.
