Mr. Warren L. Mehmken, 79, of Sperry, died at 5:23 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at his home.
Born August 30, 1935 in Burlington, he was the son of Mark and Beatrice Ruschill Mehmken. On September 22, 1957 he married Margaret Hedgepeth at West Hill United Methodist Church in Burlington. They were married 58 years.
Mr. Mehmken worked at National Research Bureau and Champion Spark Plug, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, golf, bowling, and putting puzzles together. He was an Army veteran and was a member of West Hill United Methodist Church.
Besides his wife, survivors include one daughter, Karen (Terry) Corman of Sperry; one son, Mark (Teresa) Mehmken of Parker, Texas and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 5th, at Lunning Chapel.
The funeral service for Mr. Mehmken will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 6th, at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. David Bracht-Wagner officiating. The Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard will conduct Military Rites. Interment will be in Loper Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for West Hill United Methodist Church and Alzheimers Association.
