Mrs. Sharon Lynn Snider, 64, of West Burlington died Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born October 2, 1950 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Henry and Jeanette (Erickson) Von Ende.
On April 1, 1988 she married Richard "Dick" Snider at First Presbyterian Church in Burlington.
Mrs. Snider was a 1969 graduate of Burlington High School. During her school years she was a waitress at her father's restaurant. After high school she worked at J.S. Schramm's as an associate and modeled wedding dresses. Sharon also worked at Klein Center as a CNA and for many years was the executive housekeeper at Pzazz.
Sharon was an accomplished seamstress and was very talented in home remodeling. She loved to read books, listened to the Beatles and 60s - 90s Rock. She loved and cared for all, especially her family; her cat, Maddy and her Labradors Ellie, Maggie and Buddy.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Richard; two sons, Jeremy (Jessie) Starman of Westerville, Ohio and Andrew (Colena) Snider of Deerfield, Florida; two grandsons, Landon Starman and Andy Snider; one granddaughter, Staci Meyer; one sister, Nancy Reighard of Burlington; one brother, Jim Von Ende of Iowa City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Friday, February 6th, at Lunning Chapel.
Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice and her grandchildren's education.
Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel
