Mrs. Laura B. Stoermer, 88, of Wau-sau, Wisconsin and formerly of Burlington died Monday, March 23, 2009, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Born April 16, 1920 in Greenup, Kentucky, she was the daughter of and the last of ten children of the late Marion and Dovia Hamilton Horne. On February 2, 1947 she married Warren H. Stoermer in Lincoln, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1998.
Mrs. Stoermer attended the Baptist Church and enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren, loving them and playing cards. She will be missed by all who loved her and shared her friendship.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam (Dennis) George, of Wausau; her son, Greg (Karen) Stoermer of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special mention to Violet Williamson, Pansy Dickson and Patty Springob.
Her husband, parents and her nine brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
The funeral service for Mrs. Stoermer will be 1:00 p.m. today, in Lunning Chapel. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
