Darlene Mae Gregg, 80, of West Burlington, died at 8:05 PM Friday, September 26, 2014, at the Danville Care Center in Danville.

Born May 12, 1934, in Americus, Kansas, she was the daughter of Chester and Mary Vorhees Schlup. She married Robert Eagen. They later divorced. On May 5, 1973 she married Oscar Gregg. He died September 16, 2011

Darlene worked and retired from General Electric.

She was an avid gardener and she enjoyed riding snowmobiles and boating.

Survivors include two sons, James K. (Patty) Eagen of Burlington, and Robert Michael "Mike" (Cindy) Eagen of Plattsmouth, NE; two daughters, Wanda D. (Tom) Miller of Burlington, and Mary (Stan) Fletcher of Sunrise Beach, MO; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth (Jane) Schlup of OK, and David Schlup of Chicago, IL; one sister, Barbara Davenport of KS; and nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Thielen Crematory.

The Graveside Committal Service for Mrs. Gregg will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Harness Cemetery, rural Mount Sterling, IA, with Reverend Douglas Harding officiating.

A memorial has been established.
