Margaret Noftsger. The pale reaper has again visited our community in the removal of one of our respected mothers.

Margaret Dotson was born in Park county, Indiana, September 14, 1849, and in her early childhood with her parents changed her home to Marion county, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood, and was married to Josiah S. Noftsger, September 14, 1868, on her eighteenth birthday.

To this union was born six sons who reside as follows: Adron, lrvin, Arthur and Roy, at Lamoni, Iowa, Lee, at Malvern, Iowa and Clark, at Carlyle, S. D., all but the last named being present at the funeral.

Her husband departed this life July 27, 1908.

She accepted hope in Christ in the faith of the Baptist church in her fifteenth year.

The angel messenger called her spirit away to rest March 30, 1914, at 4:45 in the afternoon; the funeral at her late residence April 1, 1914, in charge of Isaac A. Monroe, and the sermon by Robt. M. Elvin from John 3:15.

Besides her six sons there also left to mourn seven grandchildren, one brother and three sisters. Interment in the Lily graveyard.
