Bebee Gayle Kellogg, age 90, began her next life’s adventure Saturday, November 11, 2017, surrounded by her children at her home in Lake Mary, FL 32746, following seven years of kidney dialysis.

Born on a farm outside Lamoni, Iowa on January 13, 1927, during a snowstorm that was so severe the doctor had to remain with the family for three days following her birth, she was the firstborn child of Cecil and Alice Noftsger.

She and her sister Janet grew up in Grand River, Iowa, and later moved to Creston, Iowa where she met her future husband, Charles Kellogg in Junior High.

Charles and Bebee reconnected after he moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, and she began training there to be a nurse. They married on November 7, 1947, while Charles finished college at the University of Nebraska, and she finished nurses training at St. Elizabeth’s hospital. Although she was a nurse cadet, the war ended before she graduated, and she never entered active military duty.

Bebee and Charles raised their family in Kansas City, Missouri, Arlington, Texas, Wichita, Kansas, Davenport, Iowa, St. Louis, Missouri, and Villa Park California. She enjoyed making quilts, cross-stitching, and bowling. A lifelong member of Community of Christ, she served as a deacon, and for a time as the head Deacon of the Orlando, Florida congregation.

She is survived by her three children, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to National Kidney Foundation.
