MRS. ANN ELIZA BINNING nee DOVE died Tuesday evening January l2, l897.

She was born in England [Banwell, Somerset] May 3, l837, and was brought to this country [Henry and Mary Dove] before she was a year old. She was married to JEFFerY BINNING in l853 and resided in New York until l855 when they came to Delaware County,
Iowa. In l892 they located in Grand River.

MRS. BINNING was a consistent member of the Methodist Church for thirty years.

Death had no terror for her for she trusted in her Savior and desired to leave the world. She suffered severely with heart trouble for thirty years. She was a mother of ten children, of whom five sons are living; two boys and three girls having gone before.

The notes on Jeffery Binning Jr. came from the work compiled by Lewis F Binning, on June 26th 1963. Other from family members and search of
courthouse and census record.

Jeffery Binning came to America about 1850, and settled at Skaneateles, New York. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Dove in 1853.in Syracuse New York. Elizabeth Dove was born in England May 3rd 1837, and came to America with her parents [Henry and Mary Dove] before she was one year old. They settled in New York state, for a short time before moving to Iowa.

Sometime in 1854 they came to Iowa and settled on a Farm Five miles south west of Dyersville Iowa, Delaware county where they lived for 38 years.

According to available records ten children were born to this marriage, Some must of died quite young.

On the 5th of September by Deed of Adoption Jeffery and Eliza Binning adopted a girl three years of age. According to the deed the child
called Fannie Donahue born on or about the 18th day of June 1879 and taken to the Chicago Home for the Friendless while and infant and was then about three and one half years old, taken by the said Jeffery Binning and Eliz A Binning residents of North Fork Township Delaware County Iowa from said "Chicago Home for the Friendless" by consent of the President
Early in 1892 Jeffery and Eliza and three son's Edwin George and James moved to Decatur County Iowa. They bought property in Grand River where
he lived until they passed away. The three son's located on separate farms east of Grand River, that Jeffery had bought before moving south. Eliza Dove passed away Jan 12th, 1897.

In 1897 Jeffery married a widow Louisa Brammer at Grand River. He passed away Mar 26, 1908, and was laid to rest beside his first wife in the Oak Hill Cemetery south east of Grand River.
