James Franklin Williams, age 75, of Norwalk, Iowa, the son of Bryon Franklin and Esther (Snethen) Williams, was born June 10, 1943, in Lamoni, Iowa. He died at his home on September 12, 2018.

Jim grew up in Lamoni and in the Independence and Buckner, Missouri areas. He was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as a child. He attended school in those areas. He played football and graduated from Fort Osage High School in *Buckner in 1961. He then played football for Graceland College while he attended. In February of 1963, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served for four years until February of 1967. He then returned to Lamoni and made a living as an electrician and doing auto body repair. In his free time, he enjoyed making and flying radio controlled model airplanes. He also played pool and enjoyed watching boxing and football, especially the Packers and the Chiefs.

Preceding him in death were his parents and grandson, Drake. Survivors include his four children, Debora Lesmes and husband, Mike, of Springfield, Missouri, Sariah Williams of Ridgeway, Missouri, Adina Williams and fiance, Evan, of Easton, Kansas, and Levi Williams and wife, Amanda, of Eagleville, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings, Elizabeth Newberry of Lamoni, Mary Jo Detrick and finace, Bob Bowen, of Waukee, Iowa, Judi Kuzuki and husband, Gene, of West Des Moines, Iowa, Byron Williams and fiance, Sherri, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Laura Williams of Lamoni, and Ernie Williams and companion, Fred Fowler, of Kansas City, Missouri; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Whether you knew Jim as Jim Frank, Jimbo, or Jimmie Thunder, he left his mark on this world and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
