"Neighborhood News"

Peter Mohr, of Lamoni, aged 81 years, who had been sleeping in an improvised bunk at one of the poultry houses there, was burned to death. When the fire was discovered he was so badly burned about the head and face and smothered from the smoke, that he died in a short time. No one knows the origin of the fire, as he did not use tobacco, and the lamp he used was found intact a distance from the fire. He had lived by peddling medicines. No one knows of the whereabouts of relatives.

[Interment was made at Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, Iowa.]
