Howard, I have a Joseph George Clayton, born Oct. 31, 1884 (or 1885) in Van Meter, Dallas Co., Iowa. According to his death certificate, his father was "Link" Clayton, if I am reading the old handwriting correctly. I assume that may be a knickname for Lincoln. Joseph's mother's name was "Lil" Brook and she was from Adair, Iowa. When Joseph died in 1930, he was taken back to Van Meter for burial. Any connection or information you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks. Sharon
