The sad news reached Asplnwall last Friday that Mrs. Anna Carstensen, wife of Hans Carstensen, of Milford town, ship, was dead, heart trouble being the cause of death.
Mrs. Carstensen's maiden name was Anna Heesch. She was born in Berg Ditmachen, Holstein, Germany, In 1868. She came to Asplnwall, with her father in June, 1893, where her sister, Mrs. P.0. Roggendorf, lives.
Then she went to Denison where, she met Hans Carstensen and they were married in October, 1903. From. here they moved to West Side where they lived a number of years.
Last summer Mr. Carstensen sold out his blacksmith shop and moved onto the John Currie farm in Milford township.
She leaves a husband and five little children, the youngest being but eight weeks old.
On Saturday the funeral occurred when the remains were taken to the five-mile house cemetery, south of WestSide for burial.
