I am a great granddaughter of Elijah Buell of Clinton (Lyons) Iowa. My mother is Cleone Slingerland, born Cleone Shaw, whose mother was Cleone Buell, daugher of Elijah Buell, who married Dr. Harry Shaw, Morrison, Illinois.

Cleone Buell had a one brother, Lloyd.

The historial home, built by Elijah Buell, was razed in favor of building a drive in theatre. It was the only federal home, constructed of brick, in the area, and Elijah Buell was a dairy farmer and breeder of Percheron horses.
