Sunday evening at 6 o'clock occurred the death of Wm. M. Wilson after an illness of but a few days, death resulting from heart failure. Wm. Wilson was born March 26, 1844, in Howland township, Trumbull county, Ohio, and came to this city in 1867, where he was married to Ellen A. Shumake of Fulton, Ill., on Nov. 11, 1875. Since then they have lived in Lyons all but about six years spent in Groveton, Texas.

In the mill days, Mr. Wilson was a saw mill blacksmith and worked in the Lyons mills for a number of years and after that he became a member of the Lyons police force. This was in 1876. For the past five years he has been retired.

Mr. Wilson had not been in the best of health for the past several months, but was not considered very ill until last Tuesday, when he was told of the serious illness of his wife, who at present is at the point of death. After hearing of this, he failed rapidly until death came Sunday evening.

He is survived by two children, Miss Clara and Charles, both at home, also one sister, Mrs. Delia Bunker, of this city. No definite funeral arrangements have as yet been made.
