CAROLINE BOKA IS CALLED BY DEATH
YOUNG LYONS GIRL DIES IN INVALID CHAIR AT 10:30 MONDAY EVENING.
FUNERAL THURSDAY
Deceased to be Laid at Rest on Thursday After Services at St. Boniface -- Had Been Ill Since Last Christmas and Very Low For Past Week.

Friends and relatives throughout the city were shocked to learn of the death of Miss Caroline J. Boka, which occurred at 10:30 o'clock Monday evening at the home of her parents in North Seventh street and which, although not unexpected, came as a distinct shock to all. The deceased had been ill since last Christmas during which time she had been gradually failing and has spent most of her time in an invalid chair. When death occurred, it came while she was in this chair from which she had not been able to be moved for some time. The end came as the result of a serious complication of diseases with anaemia as the chief cause.
Carrie Boka was born her on Sept. 13, 1888 and would have been twenty-five years of age on this coming Saturday, had she lived. During her whole life she had made her home in this city where she had an unusually large circle of friends. She was a member of the Sodality of St. Boniface church and for many years a valued member of the St. Boniface choir where her unusually excellent voice has been heard by many. For the past eight years, prior to her illness, the deceased was an employee of the U. S. Steel Lock company.
Surviving her are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Boka, two brothers, Joseph and Henry Boka, both of this city, and five sisters, Mrs. William Larkin, Mrs. Carl Frerichs and Misses Maimie, Julia and Thresia Boka, all of this city.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Boniface church with interment following in the local cemetery.
