ALBERT EBERHART

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Nelson Funeral Home, DeWitt, for Albert Eberhart, 90, of Charlotte, who died Thursday at Jackson County Hospital, Maquoketa.

The Rev. David Steinle of Assumption Catholic Church, Charlotte, will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 t0 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Charlotte.

Pallbearers will be John, Andy and Robert E. Eberhart, Larry Butt, Dennis Witt, Ronald Burken, Brian Parker and John O'Meara.

Mr. Eberhart was born July 24, 1903, in Oklahoma City, OK, to William and Kate Eberhart. He married Rosa Voss, Feb. 9, 1927, in Charlotte. She died April 29, 19992. In his earlier years, he worked as a farm hand and for the NorthWestern Railroad. He later was employed for 19 years at Pillsbury Company in Clinton, retiring in 1964. He was member of Charlotte Trail Riders and enjoyed gardening, horses and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Wesley (Mary) Witt and Mrs. Maurice (Alice) Butt, both Charlotte, Mrs. Gerald (Rose) O'Meara of Schaller, IA, Helen Burken of Camanche, and Mrs. Donald (Janet) Parker of Warsaw, IN; three sons, William and Joe, both of Delmar and Rober of Charlotte; 46 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Hattie Cocanougher of Clinton, OK.

He was preceded in death by two sons, a grandson, a brother and a sister.
