The Clinton Herald Saturday December 29, 1951 p. 9 G. William Dulany, 46, director and vice-president of the Eclipse Lumber company, died at 6:15 p.m. Friday in Jane Lamb hospital after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Presbyterian church with Dr. Bruce McCullough officiating. Friends may call at the Snell funeral home beginning Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Dulany, who resided on Crescent Drive, had been with the Eclipse firm since 1937. Previous to that time he was associated with the G.W. Dulany Trust company, Chicago, Ill., for nine years. He also was an officer and director of the Hurley Lumber company, Kansas City, Mo. He was a former president of the Jane Lamb hospital board and a member of the board at the time of his death. He was county head of payroll deductions for war bonds during World War II and was an active worker in the Community Federation program. He was a member of the board of directors of the Iowa Lumbermen's association, former member of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce board, served six years as police and fire commissioner for the city of Clinton and was chairman of the house committee for the Clinton Country coub. Organizations of which he was a member included the Country club, B.P.O. Elks, Clinton Gun and Skeet club, Scott County Sportsman's association, and the Izaak Walton League. Mr. Dulany was born in Minneapolis, May 7, 1905, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Dulany. He attended St. James school and Shattuck Military academy in Fairbault, Minn., the University of Southern California and was graduate of the Babson Institute of Boston, Mass. He was married to Miss Emily DeWitt of Long Beach, Calif., Oct. 6, 1927, in Boston, Mass. Surviving are his wife; one son, David DeWitt, who is a student at Iowa State college; one daughter, Susan Van Sant Dulany; and his father, G.W. Dulany, Jr. of LaJolla, Calif. He was preceded in death by his mother.
