The Clinton Herald Saturday Decemberf 23, 1933 Jens A. Raun, 905 Nrth Second street, died early this morning. The body will repose in the home from Sunday until noon Tuesday. Services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Bragonier chapel. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Jens A. Raun was born May 10, 1853, in Kalioe, Schleswig, Denmark and was married Nov. 26, 1878, to Maria C. Lund. He came to America in 1888 with his family, coming directly to Clinton where he resided since. Mr. and Mrs. Raun observed their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary very quietly this year. Left to mourn are his widow, three sons, Henry Raun, George Raun and Jens A. Raun, Jr. also five daughters, Mrs. T.E. Edgar, Mrs. Kathryn Rucker, Mrs. Albert Holm, Mrs. A.S. Jurgensen and Mrs. L.M. Luthans. Two daughters, Mrs. Lottie Williams and Maria Raun preceded him in death. He also leaves 21 living grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a member of Danish brotherhood, Lodge 11.
