Clayton County Register, 11 May 1950.

Nels Hulverson died at the Larson Nursing Home in St. Olaf May 03, 1950, and had reached the age of 84 years, 4 months and 19 days. He was born Dec. 13, 1865. He was baptized and confirmed in the Norway Lutheran church, had enjoyed good health until two weeks ago when he was stricken with bronchial pneumonia which caused his death.

On Feb. 07, 1906, he was united in marriage to Leve Clauson in Wagner township. Four sons were born to this union, Helmer of Elkader, Leland of St. Olaf, Two sons, Theodore and Glenn, preceded him in death, also his parents and a brother Ole.

Two sons, Helmer and Leland, survive him, and also one grandson, Bobby Hulverson, and one nephew. His wife Leve, who died May 04, 1950.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 06, from Norway Lutheran church, Rev. Strandjord officiating. Burial was in the Norway cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Floyd Orvis, Wm. Koehn, Leander Heck, Gunnar Landsgaard, LeRoy Larson and Elmer Ronquist.
