One of our oldest settlers, Mrs. J. Garlow, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Simons, Sunday afternoon, after a lingering illness caused mostly from old age. Mrs. Garlow was over eighty years old and leaves to mourn her loss, four sons and two daughters besides other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral was held Wednesday at the United Brethren Church and interment in Brown cemetery.
