Murphy - Mecklenberg marriage - 1926

The marriage of Miss Margaret Mecklenberg and Milo M. Murphy took place last Sunday at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. B. Mecklenberg, in this city.

The ceremony was performed by Rev. C. H. Franke, pastor of the Evangelical church, using the impressive ring ceremony in the presence of only the immediate relatives. The young couple were attended by Miss Augusta Mecklenberg, sister of the bride and Fred Katschkowsky.

The bride is a daughter of Mrs. B. Mecklenberg of this place and enjoys the friendship and esteem of all who know her. The groom is one of Elkader's fine young men, capable of making a success in life, and enjoying the confidence and respect of everyone. Last fall he received the appointment as rural carrier on route one out of the Elkader post office.

The register joins in the good wishes that will be bestowed upon this excellent young couple.
